The period beginning June 15, 2002, and ending August 12, 2002, has been excessively dry. It is not appropriate to include the heavy rains after August 12th because they mask the severe nature of the dry conditions in the following tables and maps.

• table of temperature and precipitation by weather station

• map of total precipitation

• map of precipitation (percent of normal)

• map of precipitation departures from normal

• map of mean temperature

• map of mean temperature departure from normal

• ranking of the state-wide precipitation
