Developments since 1989:

A new off-channel reservoir is expected to be built within the next few years. It will receive water pumped through the first off-channel reservoir, but will likely not directly receive river water. There are plans for a new treatment plant with a capacity between 2.5 and 5 mgd. The current plant began operating in 1920.
