Northeastern Illinois

Regional water supply planning in Northeastern Illinois has focused on the deep Cambrian-Ordovician sandstone aquifers, the shallow bedrock aquifers, and the Fox River Watershed within the following nine counties: Cook, DeKalb, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry, and Will. The planning effort has been facilitated by the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning
